On December 19th 2015 around one thousand people were part of the first edition of El Calvario Puertas Abiertas, an open route in which visitors had the opportunity to explore the community of El Calvario and and enjoy some of the music, food and artwork by local residents.

For this event we proposed a “treasure hunt” using twelve hidden doors, each leading to an undiscovered feature of this neighborhood. When the map for the event was seen against the sunlight, it revealed clues for finding each door. We drew the doors on places that caught our eye for their spatial features, the views to the city, the local food or people whose stories we wanted to share, inviting visitors to see them in a new light. We encouraged visitors to share their photos and stories with #PuertasAbiertas to compete for a mystery present, which was later announced on social media.
